Anti-thrombotics Before Imaging Risky in NSTE-ACS?
from MedPage Today
Giving anti-thrombotics to patients with non-ST-segment elevation acute coronary syndromes (NSTE-ACS) while they waited for coronary angiography was associated with more bleeding, investigators found. Of those pretreated with heparin and bivalirudin in the Acute Catheterization and Urgent Intervention Triage Strategy trial, 2.0 percent bled before angiography, with 0.4 percent having major bleeding.
