Windsor-Young towers get council nod
from The Chronicle Herald
George and Joe Ramia's bid to build two massive mixed-used towers on the corner of Halifax's Windsor and Young streets came closer to reality this week after winning the unanimous support of regional council. The project, proposed for a 2.4-acre former Department of National Defence site now owned by the Ramias, will house 335 condo units and commercial space in two towers of 21 and 16 storeys. It will also house a five-storey retail and office complex, a pedestrian plaza and lots of underground parking. The taller tower will be at the northeast corner of the lot, while the shorter one will face Windsor Street.
