from Conde Nast Traveler
The U.S. national parks had a banner year in 2016. The Park Service turned a century old. There were two whole weeks’ worth of free days for visitors to stop by the 127 parks that usually charge admission. And the result: For the third year in a row, park attendance set a new record, shooting up to an all-time high of 325 million visitors compared with 307 million in 2015.
