Gravenhurst grad tackles climate change impact on future architecture
A former Gravenhurst High School student's forward-thinking plans are making waves in the world of architecture. "It's something we need to tackle more in the field," said Alec Ring of the necessity to consider climate change when creating new designs. Ring, now working at an architecture firm in Toronto, was awarded in November the 2016 Canadian Architect Student Award of Excellence for his thesis focused on this issue, which the Ryerson University graduate completed while earning his masters of architecture at the University of British Columbia.
