ACI: Consumer electronics help airfreight surge 8.1 per cent in November
from Air Cargo Week
Worldwide airfreight volumes grew 8.1 per cent driven by consumer electronics and global digitization, Airports Council International (ACI) says. It says international airfreight was up 9.2 per cent while domestic volumes grew 5.6 per cent, with the global electronics market generating a surge in demand due to close release dates for competing consumer products. ACI says: "Air freight markets remained volatile and were strongly affected by the consumer electronics industry and dynamic consumer demand for these products."
