2 new simulation mannequins provide real-life scenarios for high school students

The patient’s chest is filling up with fluid. A horrible cough is audible from the patient. The patient's heart rate is dropping. All of these scenarios provide real-life situations through simulation mannequins now being used by high school health science students. The school used a a $60,000 grant from the Texas Workforce Commission to purchase two simulation mannequins, two hospital beds with complete headboards, and a simulator for phlebotomy students to practice with.
