Turning around homelessness with design

On any given day, more than a half-million people – children, women, and men, including many veterans – in the United States experience homelessness. While there is not much designers can do to address the root causes of homelessness, they can help those who are homeless progress along the path to becoming self-sufficient by creating shelters and temporary housing that are more supportive, safe and compassionate.
