 Middle school students learn welding at Douglas High School technology camp

Experiencing hands-on learning mixed with fun, six students are participating in the Expanding Horizons Manufacturing Camp held at Douglas High School in Winston, Oregon, this week. “Wear glasses, jackets and gloves,” said Douglas High School welding instructor Zane Alvey, reminding his students of basic safety principles on July 11. “Everything is either hot, heavy or sharp, or a mixture of all three.” more
