Mexico announces new electronics security
Mexican authorities announced July 19 that security officers at airports in Mexico have started increasing their focus on checking laptops and tablets on flights heading to the United States. The heightened security measures come at the recommendation of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. According to The Associated Press, officials from Mexico's Transportation Department revealed that the increased security screening procedures would apply to all electronics larger than a cellphone.
