US to add 8 million jobs by 2022, but middle-wage employment to lag
from Staffing Industry Analysts
The U.S. will add a projected 8.2 million jobs from 2017 to 2022 while 302,930 will be lost, according to CareerBuilder's analysis of labor market trends. This results in a net total of 7.9 million new jobs over this time period, or 5 percent growth. While job growth is expected across pay levels, the study found middle-wage workers will likely take the brunt of the job loss and see job creation continue to lag behind other wage categories.
