In major reversal, survey finds 56 percent of physicians now support single-payer healthcare system
More and more doctors now say they endorse a single-payer healthcare system, a big shift from the past. A new survey of 1,033 physicians indicates that more than half of doctors (56 percent) either strongly support or somewhat support a single-payer system, according to Merritt Hawkins, which sent an email survey to doctors earlier this month.
