It's getting tougher for Hispanics to get out of jail

Some bail businesses avoid bonds for releasing Hispanic inmates from jail because of the risk that the inmates could be deported, Sedgwick County (Kansas) Sheriff Jeff Easter said. A bail business guaranteeing a bond for an inmate to appear in court doesn't always know whether that person could face deportation as an illegal immigrant. And if that happens, the business could be held liable for the full amount of the bond, a bond business owner said.
