Lifestyle Holidays Vacation Club stops closing of Casa Nazareth home for handicapped children

In 2002, Mercedes Bejarán of the cloistered nuns of the Carmelite Order in Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic, received support from the bishop to open a home to care for the needs of handicapped children in the area. Casa Nazareth was known throughout the region for its love and specialized care for children with a variety of conditions ranging from autism and Down's Syndrome to Cerebral Palsy and various mental and physical illnesses.
