|GMIS Accreditation Technology Assessment Preparation Program
The GMIS Accreditation Technology Assessment Preparation Program (GMIS TAPP) will launch on September 12! GMIS Accreditation is not yet in production, but we wanted to provide the opportunity for GMIS and affiliate members to see the self-assessment process and begin preparing for Accreditation.
What is the GMIS TAPP?
GMIS Technology Assessment Preparation Program would be the first phase of the Accreditation process (if Accreditation were in production). This process includes the GMIS Accreditation Scorecard, supplemental material to help with the scorecard controls, and instructions on the process. In addition, we ask that GMIS members complete a short survey within 120 days after receiving the scorecard and information.
How much is the program?
The cost for the GMIS TAPP is $750. This is a flat fee, which includes the GMIS Accreditation Scorecard, instructions, and supplemental material. The library of material is constantly growing, so for one year beyond the purchase of the kit, your agency will have access to the material as it is added.
Why is GMIS charging for GMIS TAPP?
The final GMIS TAPP is still being structured, and will shortly be assuming costs. These costs include legal fees for the documentation and professional insurance protecting GMIS and its authorized assessors. The costs also include administrative fees to manage the scorecard system, take payments, recruit and train Accreditation assessors. Finally, the costs are also going toward establishing GMIS as an ANSI Certified Standards Developer for public sector IT.
Where can I find more information on GMIS TAPP?
In addition to the information on the website, there are downloadable documents located at the bottom of the page including a sample scorecard.
