The opioid epidemic weaves its way through the transplant community

The current opioid epidemic in the U.S. has unfortunately led to a marked increase in opioid-related deaths. It is a sad fact that such deaths result in much-needed relief for organ shortages around the country. However, it is not that simple, says Stephen O.
