Wound care suffering due to patients 'not being listened to by nurses'
from Nursing Times
The white paper, which features contributions from international wound care experts, argues many people are being let down due to a lack of truly patient-centred care. It calls for the creation of a global patients' rights charter for those with chronic wounds such as leg ulcers and pressure sores that spells out the need for all clinicians to listen to and collaborate with patients. The paper, published by leg care charity the Lindsay Leg Club Foundation in conjunction with the World Union of Healing Societies last month, highlights a number of examples of poor practice.
