Patients with atrial fibrillation (AF) treated with ablation-assisted Cox-Maze IV procedure (CM4) in addition to cardiac surgery experience improved late survival compared with patients who are untreated, according to a retrospective study published in the Journal of Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery.
