Fenestration-reported injury numbers exceed 2016 national average

The number of nonfatal occupational injuries and illnesses reported by industries that do work related to doors and windows in 2016 was higher than the national rate, according to a new report from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics. In 2016, private industry employers reported approximately 2.9 million nonfatal workplace injuries and illness for a national rate of 2.9 cases for 100 full-time equivalent workers. Nonfatal workplace injuries and illnesses were down overall in 2016 from a year prior.
