9. PAMI offers free access to nonpharmacologic pain management resources, tools

From July 5: The current opioid crisis has brought renewed interest in nonpharmacologic pain management. Nonpharmacologic techniques (alone or as adjuncts) may decrease use and/or dose of opioids, procedure times, length of stay and adverse events. The Pain Assessment and Management Initiative (PAMI) website offers several free access nonpharmacologic resources and tools for children and adults, including a Distraction Toolkit and materials from a recent pilot course:
