ACLU of Ohio pans latest version of bail-reform legislation
from Cleveland Plain Dealer
Proposed new language in a House bill that would reform bail practices across Ohio does not sit well with the ACLU of Ohio. Of particular concern is the removal of language from the original House Bill 439 that prohibits a judge from "requiring monetary security as bail if the amount of the security is designed to keep the accused detained."
