The labor market is the best it's been since 1970 — but not if you want a raise

For the first time since 1970, there are more job openings than unemployed people. But even though workers would now seem to have a once-in-a-generation (or two) amount of leverage over employers, wages are still quiescent. Which is to say that people aren't getting any bigger raises. It's the biggest economic mystery there is right now.
