By ICIM member Lambert Parker MD: Natural options for seasonal and food allergies
Whether you have seasonal or food allergies, living with any allergy can be difficult. An allergy is when the body has an adverse immune response to a particular substance. The immune system considers normally harmless substances as a threat and produces antibodies to attack and eliminate the threat. The antibodies that are produced are specific to each allergen. This explains why someone can be allergic to one type of pollen but not another.
