Safety and tactical considerations for freeway pursuits
A Department of Justice report issued in 2017 showed that, during the time frame studied, nearly every day saw a death as a result of a police pursuit – out of over 1,300 pursuits per week. Are freeway pursuits inherently safer or more dangerous than those on city streets?
