Social media spat leads to charge against Williamson County official
from Austin American-Statesman
In his 18 months in office, Williamson County Sheriff Robert Chody has built a Twitter following of more than 10,000 by sharing information about road closures and high-profile arrests and pictures of deputies and police dogs on the job and at play. Chody also recently weighed in on the management of county government in a series of social media posts that officials say offended County Judge Dan Gattis and prompted the county's chief executive officer to threaten to strip funding from Chody's office. On Wednesday, the feud went up a notch.
