Ezequiel Farca + Cristina Grappin completes two dramatic dining destinations in Cabo San Lucas

Mexico's Grand Velas Los Cabos might offer dreamy views of the Sea of Cortez, which no greater authority than Jacques Cousteau himself called “the world’s aquarium.” Guests might also gaze in wonder at two new restaurants in the hotel designed by Ezequiel Farca + Cristina Grappin. The almost 4,000-square-foot Frida is a tribute to Mexico’s most famous painter. Wooden screens trail across the ceiling and angle down to create shelving and room dividers with contents that reflect in the polished marble floors. Lighting is mostly accented in brass, as are railings for the monumental bar of bookmatched marble.
