|IACET provides training for King Saud University in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia
IACET recently visited Riyadh, Saudi Arabia where it served the country's largest university system, King Saud University. IACET provided a series of keynote presentations and training courses that assisted the university in promoting standards for its learning programs. IACET was proud to offer KSU a series of important programs including:
IACET CEO, Joe McClary said, "IACET is thrilled to be working with an organization like King Saud University. KSU has a passion for learning and promoting high standards. We are especially grateful to Vice Rector, Dr. Yousif Assiri and Dean of the Deanship of Skills Development, Dr. Adel Bashatah who are both dedicated to exemplary learning experiences."
- Train-the-trainer Programs (Instructional Design and Facilitation for Adult Learning) that assists the university's faculty with implementing important adult learning principles both in the classroom and online. IACET evaluation feedback was outstanding for this program and KSU has already booked IACET back for a third time in the Spring of 2019.
- Continuing Education and Training Standards for the 21st Century. This program was designed for medium to large organizations that have a minimum of 5-25 people who need to organizationally align toward meeting high standards. As part of the two-day program, KSU staff, faculty and department leaders examined popular education standards including those recognized by IACET and how they apply to adult learning environments. KSU had the opportunity for its leadership to compare its practices to that of accepted global best practices. After completing the 21st Century program, KSU attendees said they have a new or enhanced vision on how to achieve excellence in adult learning instructional design, delivery and associated processes.
- Strategic Planning Workshops for Learning Organizations
This program helped KSU prioritize major organizational initiatives and help drive innovative thinking across their many departments and deanships. In addition, completion of this workshop culminates in the production of a relevant, achievable and innovative strategic plan. IACET's Strategic Planning Workshop is designed to assist organizations in thinking outside the box regarding how they implement continuing education and training programs. Often, organizations get caught in a rut of doing things the same way year after year and lack strategic direction to address business, performance, learning and learner goals. KSU recognized that change continues to affect 21st century learning organizations and strategic planning to address an organization's learning goals has never been more important.
