Beware hand injuries in the kitchen this holiday season
from The Enquirer
When he opened a cabinet and saw that a plate was falling out, Antimo DiMeo instinctively reached to catch it. “The plate broke and shattered on my hand,” said DiMeo, chef and co-owner at Bardea Food & Drink in Wilmington. At first, he was most concerned that bits of the plate might have splattered on the food he was preparing for the restaurant’s grand opening in early October. Then he looked at his left hand, which was slashed by a shard from the plate.
