Powdered Doxorubicin Shortage
Powdered doxorubicin from Mylan Pharmaceuticals is in intermittent shortage around the U.S., but is available from Pfizer via its distributors. According to Pfizer customer service it is only available through wholesale distributors. If pharmacies contact Pfizer customer service at 1-800-533-4335, select for Pfizer injectables, and tell the customer service representative the distributors they work with (such as McKesson, AmerisourceBergen and Cardinal), they can let them know if the distributor(s) sell the product. They will direct you to a sales person instead of listing all products.
