A wellness app is not a mental health strategy
While it's common for people not to work when they have a cold or suffer from any number of physical ailments, the same is not true when it comes to mental health. In many workplaces, discussing mental wellness is taboo, despite research that shows that 1 in 5 people experience mental illness. Often, a company's strategy to address mental health consists of directing people to a wellness app and an employee assistance program hotline.
