See what EBA Chapters were up to last week!

Almost 90 attendees gathered for the 2019 Western Chapter’s Annual Meeting including FERC General Counsel James Danly, California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) General Counsel Arocles Aguilar, and Commissioner Jordan White of the Utah Public Utilities Commission and a host of energy legal insiders on February 22.
Attendees listened to expert panels on blockchain, non-IOU energy providers, the evolution of western markets and the legal and regulatory challenges the energy industry faces to address climate resilience with utility electrical infrastructure in the Western United States. They also had the extreme pleasure of hearing from Kip Lipper, Chief Policy Advisor on Energy and Environment, Senate pro Tem (pictured right) during the luncheon address.

EBA's Southern Chapter co-sponsored a program in Gainesville, FL on February 21 on cybersecurity, hurricane infrastructure, and electric vehicles/impact on the grid. An intimate group of 30 attendees gathered at the University of Florida Hilton and included a number of engineers and economists as well as a Florida Public Service Commissioner. Attendees really enjoyed the setting and the dialogue they were able to have with the speakers at the event. EBA’s Southern Chapter President-Elect Cindy Miller and Mike Cooke of Greenberg Traurig helped to host the program (pictured below).
