Facility focus: Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory
from Tech Briefs
Since 1967, Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory (Fermilab) has been the United States’ premier particle physics laboratory, working on the world's most advanced particle accelerators and digging down to the smallest building blocks of matter. Fermilab's vision is to solve the mysteries of matter, energy, space, and time. Particle physicists aim to discover what the universe is made of and how it works. They study the smallest building blocks of matter using some of the largest and most complex machines in the world.
