RVers, do your part to prevent the spread of hungry pests
from Associated Press
Invasive species such as gypsy moths do $40 billion of damage annually to crops, says the U.S. Department of Agriculture, which has issued a checklist of preventative actions for people who plan to move or take out-of-state trips. RVers should check their unit’s wheel wells, bumpers, and other hard-to-see areas to make sure they’re free of soil, egg masses, and insects. And don’t take untreated firewood with you on camping trips-- buy certified, heat-treated firewood or responsibly gather wood at your destination.
