from On-Site Magazine
With excavators and haulers carrying out demolition work a few dozen metres away, top brass from developer Cadillac Fairview and future tenant TD Bank, joined Toronto Mayor John Tory, among others, to officially kick off construction of a major new office tower in downtown Toronto recently. Work on the 46-storey project at 160 Front Street is expected to take about 3.5 years. Cadillac Fairview, which is controlled by the Ontario Teachers' Pension Plan, had pegged the cost of the development at about $800 million last July, but said at the groundbreaking that it and its partners will invest over $1 billion in the project.
