When the U.K. voted in 2016 to leave the European Union, supporters framed it as a fresh start. What exactly an exit from the EU would look like, though, had not yet been fleshed out when citizens voted. Ever since, businesses in the U.K. and EU have voiced concern about the potential for supply chain disruptions with many of them stocking up on goods ahead of deadlines that have since come and gone.
