Will Navy, tribes follow state's lead in raising tobacco age from 18 to 21?
from Kitsap Sun
State lawmakers recently voted to raise the legal age for tobacco products from 18 to 21. Whether the Navy and Kitsap's two tribal reservations follow suit, however, is still an open question. Gov. Jay Inslee signed the legislation, which also affects the purchase of e-cigarettes and other vaping products, earlier this month. Washington will become the ninth state to enact such a law, as it takes effect Jan. 1, 2020.
