Living wage drops significantly amidst BC child-care investments
from CKPG Today
The living wage in North-Central BC has dropped to $14.03 from $16.51 last year, according to Integris Credit Union. It’s a significant decrease for families but that does not mean the same for people living on their own. The main reason for the drop is BC’s child-care investments which are countering increasingly steep rent and other basic necessities.
