Indianapolis grad student develops electronic health record system, nurse EHR training program

Ashley Leising, a health informatics graduate student at the School of Informatics and Computing at Indiana University, Purdue University Indianapolis, built an EHR system and is currently testing an EHR training program designed to help nurses use the technology more efficiently. Nurses from Franciscan Health in Indiana are currently testing the EHR system in a simulation lab. Leising will deliver a presentation on her EHR design and training program project at an annual Epic XGM conference this month.
