Wood materials costs likely to rise with retaliatory tariffs
from Furniture Today
In more tariff news for furniture importers, U.S. lumber and log exports to China will be hit with the increased retaliatory tariffs China is imposing on these products. The list of products affected includes both logs and hardwood lumber, based on information from Appalachian Hardwood Manufacturers Inc., which has issued an alert to its membership. Taking effect June 1, the increases affect some $60 billion in products and are in response to the increased U.S. tariffs, to 25% effective May 10.
