Logistics demand may be softening
from American Shipper
The Council of Supply Chain Management Professional's 2019 State of Logistics Report says U.S. business logistics costs last year rose 11.4% to reach $1.64 trillion, or 8% of the U.S. $20.5 trillion gross domestic product. That was much faster than the compound annual growth rate over the past five years of 4.4%. Costs were up for all transportation modes.
