MHANYS Symposium on Self-Stigma MHANYS
MHANYS is pleased to be holding a symposium on self-stigma. We will discuss what it is; how pervasive it is; and what we can do to change attitudes. We welcome our keynote speaker, Amanda Saake, LMSW, CPRP, the new Special Assistant to the Commissioner; Office of Consumer Affairs, New York State Office of Mental Health. We very much look forward to hearing what she has to say about this important topic.
In addition, we will have a panel of experts discussion about how to look at stigma from several different perspectives including internal, family, workplace, etc.
The event is taking place on July 9th from 8-12:30 at the First Unitarian Universalist Society of Albany. There is no charge to attend the event and a light breakfast will be served.
