from London Free Press
A project that will see London’s main wastewater plant turn human waste into electricity is a step closer to reality thanks to a new injection of federal cash. During a funding announcement at the city’s Greenway Wastewater Treatment Centre, London Mayor Ed Holder said city hall will allocate $4.5 million to cover part of the $11 million it will cost to install a new system that generates electricity through burning sewage sludge at the plant.
