Healthcare Simulation Week is quickly approaching! Set for Sept. 16-20, this year’s campaign looks to build on the momentum and enthusiasm of recent years, and judging by early information requests and feedback, the 2019 campaign feels like it will be strong!
ALL of that is a testament to SSH members and the Simulation community at large. The not-well-kept secret to any great campaign is buy-in and participation, and you’re absolutely doing that!
The even better news is that you still have plenty of time to participate if you haven’t planned anything yet. The best news is everything you need is available on the SSH website at SSIH.org.
Your first step is to download, open, and use the Healthcare Sim Week toolkit. It has logos, documents, pitch letter templates, social media guidance, and a whole lot more for you to help promote Simulation and your center!
On the same page where you download the Toolkit, you’ll also find the Healthcare Simulation Week Participation Map. I can’t stress enough how important visuals are for relaying information in today’s world. (You probably knew that already.) Having a WORLD map that shows just how vibrant and engaged our community is goes a long way toward highlighting the fantastic impact we can have as a group. It’s cliché but true: There is great power in numbers.
So, visit the page and include your center on the map!
Aside from the Toolkit and Map, SSH is again hosting a video contest as part of its Healthcare Sim Week activities.
SSH invites you to create and submit a video sharing insight on the benefit of Healthcare Simulation and what that means to you, your organization and/or your team. Your video will help raise awareness about the profession, while providing your insights to colleagues and the public about the benefit of healthcare simulation.
In a one-minute, original video, tell or show us:
Videos are due September 12, 2019, 5 p.m. EST. Download the details and get started today!
- The benefit of healthcare simulation
- How you use healthcare simulation every day
- Why and how healthcare simulation enhances the quality of patient care
- What everyday care would look like without healthcare simulation
And finally, no matter how you participate this year, one of the most important things you can do is to hashtag everything – and I mean everything – leading up to Sept. 16-20 and during the week itself with #HcSimWeek19. ~ Curtis Kitchen more
