Women's equality in government? Look to Nevada

For the first time in U.S. history, Women's Equality Day arrives Aug. 26 with at least one state legislature majority female — Nevada, where women hold 33 of 63 total seats in the Assembly and Senate — and several other states rapidly closing the gap toward gender parity in a nation where the population of women outnumbers or equals men in every state but three (Wyoming, North Dakota and Alaska).
