Debris piles up higher than porch roofs as governor visits flood-soaked Ocracoke

Tim Grembowski tugged on a crowbar to loosen plywood flooring from the Ocracoke United Methodist Church. He was making holes in the floor on purpose to reach the cramped space under the church and remove duct work soaked by the flood of Hurricane Dorian. His white protective suit — complete with a hood and booties — was covered in mud.
