Spotlight on Maternal Mental Health
Wednesday, October 30, 12:00 pm - 4:00 pm ET
Eligible for 3 CE/CME credits
ADAA's inaugural virtual Fall Forum for professionals will address understanding and treating maternal anxiety and depression. Across a full spectrum of professions, maternal mental health difficulties are rightfully garnering increasing attention. Beyond a focus on depression alone, post-partum anxiety (and other difficulties) are of interest to professionals with interests in population health, clinical care within and outside of mental health, research, policy, and family support services (among others). ADAA's Spotlight on Maternal Mental Health addresses the interests of professionals across domains, by launching this year-long initiative focused on this important issue.
Universal Screening for Maternal Mental Health Disorders: Challenges and Recent Progress featuring Joy Burkhard, MBA - (60 minutes)
Treating Maternal Perinatal Mood Disorders via Collaborations with Obstetrics & Gynecology: Evidenced-Based Psychotherapeutic Approaches to Use Now featuring Dr. Margaret Altemus, MD and Dr. Catherine Monk, PhD - (90 minutes)
Bringing Maternal Mental Health into the Pediatric Setting: Healthy Steps and the Focus on Two-Gen Interventions featuring Dr. Rahil Briggs, PsyD - (45 minutes)
The Fall Forum will be moderated by Kimberly Yonkers, MD.
