Texas sheriff says he will not participate in AR-15, AK-47 'confiscation'
from San Angelo Standard-Times
A southwest Texas sheriff is standing firm against calls from Democratic presidential candidate Beto O'Rourke to buyback certain firearms if that plan includes confiscation.
"Hell, yes, we're going to take your AR-15, your AK-47," O'Rourke declared weeks after two mass shootings in his home state of Texas, one in El Paso, his hometown. Twenty-two people died in the El Paso shooting, weeks later a gunman in Odessa killed seven people.
