PGO’s Environmental Geoscience Subcommittee submitted a response to MECP’s proposed amendments to Wells Regulation. The proposed amendments to O.Reg 903 is part of Ontario’s burden-reduction initiative that aims to make it easier for the well construction industry to operate in Ontario while maintaining protection of the environment and public safety. PGO is generally supportive of the proposed amendments outlined by MECP. However, PGO also sees an opportunity to make additional suggestions around the use of QP and the potential to harmonize the well construction requirements of the
