18. The most hated bridges in the US
From Sept. 10
: In theory, bridges are supposed to connect us to places we'd otherwise be unable to get to with cars, like islands, or help remedy traffic in highly-congested areas. But sometimes, either due to high tolls, poor design, or frequent extreme weather, bridges can be the bane of a driver's existence, like the Tappan Zee Bridge in New York or the Calcasieu River Bridge in Louisiana.
