New York State Police testing vertical light bars on cruisers
The New York State Police recently modified the light bars on the top of their police cruisers. The cruisers already had horizontal light bars that sat on top of them, but the new lights bars sit horizontally and vertically. The goal is to make the emergency vehicles more noticeable, especially from a distance, so that drivers have extra time to move over and obey the state's "Move Over" law.
