Study: Cold weather has significant impact on electric bus range
According to CTE, electric bus range shrinks during cold weather significantly more than the range of hydrogen fuel cell buses. The Center for Transportation and the Environment, a nonprofit working to develop and commercialize clean, efficient, and sustainable transportation technologies, recently completed, in partnership with the Midwest Hydrogen Center of Excellence, Cleveland State University, and the Stark Area Regional Transit Authority, an interesting study evaluating the relationship between ambient temperature and range of zero-emission buses.
